we left windham around 10am and headed to mobil for some unleaded gasoline. as we arrived to top off someone realized that latenitewars forgot all of their ep's. as this happened troy rolled up and was promptly asked to retrieve the afore mentioned compact disks.
we hopped on the road. furnace is driving their ford explorer for the comming weeks, so they hopped on the highway and took off. latenitewars started with a prompt from joey to play the alphabet game. i joined in and by worcester erik had won the game.
THE VAN:
latenitewars waited as long as they could to get a van. after weeks of telling them that they needed to at least figure out what they were doing to get a van, their were only 2 days left for them to get a van in time to have it registered and ready to drive. they finally looked for and found a candidate. we headed to meredith, nh. what waited their for us was a 1993 GMC rally extended van. room for 15 passangers and a small amount of cargo. (we have since filled it with 6 dudes and a bunch of gear) the seventeen years this van has been on the road have not yet been hard for this van. it had 63,500ish miles on the clock, and was originally owned by the meredith new hampshire calvary baptist church. needless to say they didn't drive it around much and 3 years ago it was sold to the man whom latenitewars purchased it from. a 60 something gentleman who only used it sparingly between his home and saw mill. this saw mill just happened to be about 1000 yards from his home, so the miles still didn't pile up. so now its in their hands and so far its been running just fine. so we will see.
as we left worcester we settled in for the drive and a few hours later arrived in ithaca new york. the show was in a local arts center, and we pulled the van into a spot around the side. after a short football game we unloaded the van and go to setting up things. i assembled the shirt-scarecrow, plugged everyones phones in, and sold merchandise. their was a large female crowd buying shirts for both furnace and latenitewars. in fact only one shirt was sold to a male. sets were good and all around it was a good show. afterwards we set about reloading the van.
we heading to ilthaca's famous gorges. derrick, sean and i were left behind and spent most of our time searching how to get down off various cliffs we were not supposed to be on anyways.
we are now at the college we are staying at tonight and have been watching about an hours worth of eastbound and down. i have edited the 13 photos i am posting with this entry and typed this up but their is no internet here so i'll have to post date this entry.
